June

Wow, Junes been an action packed month made all the more delightful by the sun finally making a long awaited appearance!

1st up we had the Chime for Change concert & what a ball we had! Jessie J, Rita Ora, Florence & the Machine, Ellie Goulding, John Legend, JLo, BEYONCE (who was A-MAY-ZING!!!)
Dom & I had a lovely child free weekend only slightly marred by the 3.5 hour journey home after the concert!)

Sunny days in the park & BBQs!
This doesn't need a write up surely?!

Brighton
Fab, fab, fab, fab, fab weekend away with the besties! Everything was great, from the gorgeous apartment we rented, to the mosying in the lanes, the people watching, the (ever so slightly scary) ride on the pier, the laughing, the catching up, the meeting up with an old friend (Rach - you looked so gorge!) the luscious Thai meal, the dancing & did i mention the laughing?! Even the scary lady who grinded against me in the club couldn't dampen my spirits!
Bring on the next Brighton trip!

Sports Day!
Joes first, Lauren's 4th...4th!!!!

School dress up
Despite the fact I had only 48 hours notice that Lauren needed to dress up as an Anglo Saxon & Joe either an animal or a forest (don't ask) I don't think they did too badly do you?!

Tea with gromit!
Lovely event organised by school to celebrate the grand unveiling of their gromit. This one will join the 79 others going on display around Bristol for a public arts trail to raise money for the children's hospital. I for one can't wait to start gromit hunting over the school holidays!

Sounds like....

The kids are going through a phase at the moment of being obsessed by time (possibly fuelled by the fact that all their mum ever says to them is, 'I'll be there in a minute' or 'Five minutes guys!') and they want to know how many seconds in a minute, how minutes in an hour etc etc

Joe hasn't quite got the hang of counting seconds & tends to count 0-60 in one breath. That is until Lauren told him he needed to say 'Mississippi' in between each number to help him count more slowly (she may well have got this from the friends episode where Ross goes for him spray tan...lol!)

Joe seems to have got the hang of counting seconds now except his version goes something like this... One Mr Zippy, two Mr Zippy three Mr Zippy ...
Made me chuckle!

And another thing...

The other week he called down to me, 'mummy, can you get my hellicockter down!'

Just writing this down to remind him when he's older mwah ha ha ha ha!!!
