April Family Portrait

After our fantastic holiday to Taiwan and 12 whole days together I had lots of photos of the 4 of us together to choose from for this months me and mine project - makes a change! However due to the fact that I got very snap happy and took almost 1000 photos (not including phone photos) they are currently still sat on the memory card waiting to be edited. So instead I've gone through my trusty iPhone and here I bring you the 'selfie' family portrait!

I'm only allowed smiles if they're allowed to then do funnies!

Tres attractive non?

These were taken on our 2nd night in the fabulous hotel cocktail bar. We'd been out for a lush meal and were feeling very proud of ourselves - Dom for finding us Taipei's version of Waggamama and me for finally getting the hang of chopsticks in a restaurant full of Chinese people - and weren't quite ready for bed. As guests the hotel were more than happy for the kids to be in the bar so we ordered a cocktail and beer, enjoyed the atmosphere and people watched (our favourite hobby!)

Incidentally this is also where we heard Mr Probz (current number 1 right?) I had to shazam it for Dom so he could download it (thank The Lord for the Internet) and it became our holiday song!

Happy times.

Goodbye March!

(I actually wrote this up a few weeks ago -on time for once - but for some reason it wasn't showing no matter how many times I published the damn thing!)

March kicked off with a trip to the theatre to see Vincent & Flavia in their show 'Dance till Dawn' and wow, what a show it was!

She'd

We had world book day which I blogged about here.

My truly fabulous boss surprised us all by resigning :( After 15 years in the industry it's time for him to try something new. I was gutted - whilst he infuriates me every day he also inspires me in equal measures and he's been like a personal life coach to me for the past 3 years! I'm sure that our working relationship is not over - this is merely the beginning eh Marky mark?!

The dude made me laugh by asking for his Lego 'helicockter' which reminded me of the funny way the kids pronounce certain words!

We had a lovely day trip to Cirencester to meet up with family. As I'd tradition for us it was lunch in Pizza Express (pollo ad Astra on a classic base if I'm really hungry and if I'm going through a (rare) healthy phase the same but the leggera base in case you were wondering).

It was a really gorgeous day, the sun was shining and we went for a lovely walk afterwards.

As per usual this month whizzed by and the rest of the days passed by in the usual blur of work and school runs oh and some passport drama. Suffice to say when renewing any passport in the future I will always do check & send and I will ALWAYS check it got there....finding out your sons passport is lost 3 weeks before you're due to go does not make for a stress free holiday build up! Fortunately with 1 week to go the new one arrived - hoorah and big relief all round!!!

I ended the month celebrating my lovely friend Linda's 40th birthday!

And celebrating mothers day on a lovely sunny sunday!

Four generations ranging in age from 8 - 84!

Goodbye March, hello April!

A belated birthday wish

A few days ago we celebrated the dudes 6th birthday - all the way over in Taiwan!

(Yes - the chocolate cake was as delicious as it looked!)

You continue to make us smile, shout and laugh every single day - please continue to do so!

Happy birthday dude - love you loads!
