Summer Round Up
It all kicked off in true style with a girlie night out in Swansea to surprise one of my oldest & dearest friends who was home for 2 weeks from Dubai where she emigrated to last year - what a top night!
And with the other bestie - this is us summer of 95!!! We were SO rocking the 90s vibe!
And to think I used to think I was fat!!! What I'd give for a stomach like that now!!! *sigh*
Next up Dom and I took a mini trip to Dublin for a couple of child free days to celebrate his 40th

And yes it was a genuine castle! (With a fair few extensions!!)

We did a bloomin brilliant cycle tour - if ever you get to visit Dublin I would highly recommend them - best thing we did!

Next up another girls night out (honestly these nights out are like buses I tells you!) this time all the Swansea girls came to Bristol for the night (as is tradition!) and we had such a great evening! There was a LOT of alcohol consumed (some more than others ahem) and a LOT of laughing & reminiscing - we've all been friends for over 18 years now & we've got 10 kids, 4 marriages & 1 divorce between us but us girls know how to have fun!

I'm a lucky girl to have such fabulous friends :) oh look it's those 2 again...lol!
The next major event we had was my sister in-laws wedding weekend to the lovely Chris!
And what a weekend it was!
The celebrations kicked off with the registry do to make it all legal!

Then it was time to head over to the farm where the main event was taking place - in the beautiful Somerset countryside. The Friday was all about jumping around in our fab bell tent (I'm a glamping convert!), getting in the hot tub, making new friends & eating pizza around the fire pit! Lauren met Flo and promptly fell in love and Dom and I met a whole load of lovely people and drank a whole load of wine & beer!
The next day we awoke to glorious sunshine and the kids were back in the hot tub (I'm not sure they were ever out of it?!)
They had their wedding blessed in a stone circle and us ladies got to walk her over whilst singing!! Singing!! Me!!! Who'da thunk it?!
Then there was a huge feast followed by lots of dancing and then THE most amazing band - all 25 members of them! Ladies and gentlemen I give you 'Carnival Collective!' They were AWESOME and made the day!!!!

We rounded off the summer holibobs with a week in sunny Swansea with mum (or momo as the kids call her!) we had a lush time & finally got to go to the beach!

Amongst all this there life carried on - work/holiday clubs/days out/gromit hunting, y'know - the usual.....
And then it was back to school...
So grown up!
Joe refused to pose for a picture so I managed to snap him stropping out of the house (no change there then...)
Aaahhhh reunited!
And now it's over half way through September, the evenibgs are getting darker earlier, ive even had the heating on a ciiple of times (sshhhh dont tell D!) and I've had this post sat in drafts for a couple of weeks now. However I've finally found the time (and inclination!) to update this blog & I'm so glad I have. It's been nice to read back and remind myself what a lovely summer we had & the lovely memories we made :) xxx
